Messenger, WhatsApp & Email
Connect your own Meta app or mailbox.
Connect a Facebook Page, WhatsApp number or email inbox from Channels → Messenger, WhatsApp & Email. For Messenger and WhatsApp you need a Meta app (developers.facebook.com) with the Messenger or WhatsApp product added.
A new channel starts Paused: messages are stored in the inbox but not answered, so you can check everything before going live.
Messenger
- In the dashboard, add a Messenger channel. Copy its Webhook URL and Verify token.
- In your Meta app → Messenger → Webhooks, paste both and subscribe to
messages(andmessage_echoesso replies you send from Meta Business Suite pause the AI instead of double-replying). - Generate a Page access token and paste it, with your App secret, into the channel settings.
WhatsApp (Cloud API)
- Add a WhatsApp channel and copy the Webhook URL and Verify token into your app's WhatsApp → Configuration.
- Subscribe to the
messagesfield. - Paste your Phone number ID, a permanent access token and your App secret.
Customers can then message your Page or number and the agent answers. Replies your team sends from the inbox are delivered through the same channel.
Your Meta app needs the right permissions (and App Review for public use) — until then only people with a role on the app can test it. Meta sets its own WhatsApp prices; check Meta's current rate card.
- Add an Email inbox and enter your address with its IMAP (incoming) and SMTP (outgoing) servers — for Gmail use an App password; for cPanel mail see Email Accounts → Connect Devices.
- Press Check connection. It only logs in; nothing is read, sent or charged.
- Set it to Live and send a test email from another address.
Replies go out from your own address, in the same thread. Emails that were already in the inbox before you connected are never answered, and auto-replies, newsletters, bounces and no-reply senders are skipped without any AI call. A daily reply limit and a per-sender limit keep the cost under control.
